Sean Didn’t Notice Michael At A Volleyball Game

In the film, Sean Tuohy meets Michael for the first time following one of his daughter Collins’ volleyball games. Sean notices Michael picking up people’s abandoned popcorn bags in the stands. Sean approaches the young man and introduces himself. It’s the last time they see each other until Thanksgiving. But in real life, Sean heard about Michael through his daughter. That prompted Sean to go to Briarcrest where he created a lunch account for the young man to make sure he could eat something every day. Michael’s welfare was a concern for the Tuohys from day one.
