“Wild Thing” is one of the most iconic songs of the ’60s. It wasn’t written or performed by one of the most iconic bands of the ’60s, though. After the success of “Wild Thing,” The Troggs basically disappeared.

The Trogs were originally named the Troglodytes and they released other music, but none of their other songs ever came close to “Wild Thing.” Their most famous song topped the U.S. charts in 1966, is listed on Rolling Stone’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
