Disney has finally dropped a trailer for their much-anticipated movie Jungle Cruise which is based on the Disneyland ride of the same name. The adventure film is set in the early 20th century and stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Emily Blunt.
The movie focusses on a boat skipper named Frank, played by The Rock, who takes a sister and brother, played by Blunt and British comedian Jack Whitehall, respectively, on an adventure to find a magical tree that has healing powers. The trio will face numerous obstacles in the Amazon, including rival adventurers looking for the tree.
The film is based on the ride "Jungle Cruise" theme park attraction which first made its debut in July of 1955. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and is scheduled for release on July 24th, 2020. Will this film be as successful as Disney's previous film franchise based on a theme park ride, The Pirates Of The Caribbean?
