These Campers Should Have Just Stayed Away From The Great Outdoors

Camping is a wonderful outdoor activity. There are few greater pleasures in life than pitching a tent, building a fire, and connecting with the wonders of nature. You can go camping by yourself just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, or you can go camping with your friends if you're looking for an outdoor bonding experience.

Camping does require some technical know-how though. You have to learn how to put up a tent, how to store your trash, how to cook over an open fire, and how to keep mosquitoes away. Not everyone is cut out for camping. Keep reading to see some campers who should have just stayed home.

An Unwelcome Visitor

It's super important to be aware that when you're out in the woods, you're a visitor. Other animals call this place home, and technically, you're trespassing on their territory. You know the old adage: take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.

That means that these campers didn't have some unwelcome visitors, they were the unwelcome visitors. Although, these bears were probably happy to have some careless campers in their midst. They love when people leave food lying around.

If they are alone in the wilderness it makes sense to put your toilet outside so you can at least have a view while doing your business. We wonder if that attachment on the truck was built for this specific purpose or if it just worked out like this by chance.

Camping is supposed to be an opportunity to get away from the perils of city life. That means when you're out in nature, you're supposed to put your technology away and take a moment to appreciate your surroundings. This guy obviously didn't get the memo. he couldn't get time off work, so he brought his working camping with him.

This really isn't how it's done, folks. We're going to call this one an epic fail.

When you go out into the woods with nothing but a tent, a sleeping bag, and some hot dogs and marshmallows, you have to deal with things like bugs, rain, wind, and heat. Some people prefer the comfort of air conditioning to roughing it on a hot summer day.

These people attached an air conditioning unit to their tent for maximum comfort. Some people may say this is extra and others may say it's genius.

If you're used to sleeping on a cushy king-sized mattress, sleeping directly on the cold, hard ground with only a sleeping bag between you and the dirt can be a heck of a transition. Sometimes, it's a good idea to invest in a sleeping mat or an air mattress to help you get a good night's sleep even when you're roughing it in the great outdoors.

Just don't go overboard, you know? This air mattress may just be a touch too... airy. Now there's absolutely no headroom in that tent.

Beach camping is one of the best kinds of camping out there. You can sleep comfortably on the beach while falling asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the gorgeous sight of the ocean in the morning. However, one thing that's crucial to take into consideration is the tides.

So, if you're trying to camp as close to the water as possible, be careful or you might wake up to a wave crashing into your tent. Looks like this guy didn't think about the tide and now his RV and truck are stuck deep in the sand as the water continues to rise. Good luck with that one.
