These Notes That Parents Left For Their Kids Are Way Too Brutal

Parents have the huge responsibility of raising kids into respectable, functional adults. It's a big job, but somebody has to do it. Raising kids can be a daunting task, all the way from changing that first diaper to sending them off to college. Parents have to find humor in the process somewhere, or else they'll go completely insane.

A well-written note can be the key to good parenting, or at least, that's what these parents tell themselves. It's probably more likely that they wrote these notes to have a bit of fun and get through the day.

Wasting Food Is Not An Option

This dad holds his kids accountable, but he always does it with love. He wants to teach his kids to appreciate the food that they have. Food is not an unlimited resource. We can't just let it go to waste.

Let's just hope that this kid learns to love that tuna sandwich before it starts to get really smelly. If he was smart, he'd just give the sandwich ot one of his friends and let his dad believe that he ate it.

There's No Clean Up Crew Here

Some kids are under the false impression that parents exist solely to clean up their messes. This mom doesn't want her kids to grow up to be messy, entitled adults. Moms have lots of important things to do besides cleaning. Please act like a human being and clean up after yourself when you make a mess.

Also, don't complain about having to clean up for yourself. That's what people do, not just moms and dads.

Tiffany is probably the sister of whoever owns this fish. She may not be a parent yet, but from the looks of it she's already got this note writing thing down to a science. She's basically a passive-aggressive parent in training.

I can't wait for her future kids to be on the receiving end of her outstanding note writing abilities. Also, Tiffany's sibling, please feed your fish. Don't feed him to the cat. Fish need food too.

Sandwich Dad Is Back At It Again

We recognize that napkin and that handwriting. This is definitely the same dad who said he would keep sending his kid the same sandwich until he ate it. Well, the sandwich dad strikes again. It looks like he's not giving up on this whole sandwich issue.

Judging by this note, it appears his son or daughter is still averse to his lunch packing choices. I wonder how many dad facts it will take until his kid actually eats their lunch.

A Clever Way To Get Kids To Do Chores

It can be difficult to motivate your kids to do chores around the house. Threatening to take away their allowance just doesn't cut it these days. This clever parent changes his household's wifi password every day. They only tell their kids the password after they've completed all of their chores.

It sounds like an awesome parenting tactic to me. Soon the kids are going to get smart though, and they're going to change the password before their parent can get to it.

McKenna Is Not Having A Very Good Birthday

Mckenna was expecting presents and cake on her birthday. Instead she got this disappointing scribbled note from her mother. Poor McKenna, first her mother gives her a name like McKenna (no offense every other McKenna in the world) and then she tells her to shovel snow on her birthday, and then she peaces out to Madison.

Savage, mom. Real savage. A "have a great day" would have been nice. "There's a present waiting for you in the garage" would have been even better.

Love Isn't Salty Or Crunchy

Look, moms of the world, we appreciate the love and support. It means a lot to us, it really does. But do you know what else we appreciate? Snacks. Thanks for the love, mom, but a napkin in a plastic bag isn't going to fill my empty stomach. You know what will fill my stomach with snacks? Actual edible food.

How about we supplement some of that love with pretzels or even a sandwich? We will also accept cupcakes.

Too Much Information

This is a public service announcement: parents out there, kids don't need to know where, when or if there are tubes going in and out of your posterior region. That's just way too much information. This note is a work of art, though. It is so beautifully written that I could weep. I love that she omitted the possessive pronoun before "bum." It doesn't matter whose bum, just bum in the general sense.

All bums are created equal. Also, the rhyme with "bum" and "mum" is just delightful.

It takes so much time and effort to clean an entire kitchen, and then before you know it, the kids come in and mess everything up again. How would you feel if you spent an hour and a half cleaning a kitchen only to have a bunch of hooligan children undo all of your hard work? Not very good, I bet.

The little heart at the bottom is a nice touch. She might cut you, but she'll always love you.

I bet you thought the kids in the last post had it rough. This mom needed two pieces of paper to get her message across.

It does look like this note is mostly aimed at Kevin. Molly's name seems to be somewhat of an afterthought. I guess we know who the real messy one is around this house. Basically, if you don't want to be punched in the throat, stay out of the kitchen altogether.

A Mom Note Vs. A Dad Note

One thing is for sure, both mom and dad love their exclamation marks. If exclamation marks were a form of viable currency, Eric would be rolling in it.

Mom and dad seem to disagree about what kind of trouble their son could get into while they're away— or maybe mom just doesn't want to think about it. It's nice that Eric hs a mom to tell him what to do and a dad to tell him what not to do.

Does she expect her son to wipe his face with a piece of paper? Because that may qualify as cruelty to children. If the note wasn't so cute, I might have reported her myself.

A piece of paper is not a napkin. It just spreads the dirt around. We get what she's trying to do here though. This kid was probably felt embarrassed reading notes from his mom at school. This is not a note, so now he can't get embarrassed.

I really hope that these people live somewhere warm. I would hate to have to sleep outside on a cold night— but I guess that's what happens when you're not home when you're supposed to be home.

Next time this guy probably won't stay out so late. This mom takes curfew very seriously. If she thinks providing a blanket is generous, we'd hate to see what she thinks being mean looks like. This mom is savage.

So I think we've established that kids are pretty dumb. But are they too dumb to know how to make ice? Apparently, they are.

It's a recipe with one ingredient and what is pretty much one step, which is not a recipe at all, by a lot of people's standards. We love that this mom felt the need to add, "please do not just fill the empty holes— it makes getting the frozen ones out impossible."

This isn't just one note, it's a series of notes that all come together to create a fool-proof washing machine user manual. At least, we hope it's fool-proof. We're sure these kids are still going to find a way to put the detergent in the wrong slot or flood the whole basement.

In these kids' defense, doing your own laundry can be challenging. There are like 50 different settings that all seem to do the same thing.

She left at 8:43, so if she's not back in an hour, that's when it's time to panic. If she comes home only looking mildly distressed with a pack of toilet paper in one hand and a bag of tortillas in the other, then we call that a success.

If you need your mom to remind you to take birth control, maybe you should take a step back and examine your choices— just a thought.

Hopefully, this is just a case of an overprotective, overbearing mother, and not of an irresponsible teenager. Somehow I doubt that, though. Whatever the case, we think this family probably needs to re-evaluate their boundaries. Clearly mom isn't ready to be a grandmother yet. Also, this kid is not ready to be a parent.
